My name is Lynn. I have been drawing and painting since I was little. I always knew I wanted to be an artist when I grew up (I feel pretty blessed to know what I wanted to do so early!). I went to college at the Cleveland Institute of Art, graduated and now I get to illustrate and create art for a living and for fun. By day, I am a mild-mannered greeting card illustrator. By night, I am a fledgling children’s book illustrator. I’ve done watercolor painting, collage, stitchery, and even photography. Then I learned to use the computer and never looked back!
Now I combine disciplines and use my traditional techniques in my digital art. I love the flexibility of the computer and human touch aspect of traditional media.
I dabble in all kinds of illustration and subject matters, but I particularly LOVE anything and everything related to storybooks and storytelling.
When I’m not making art, you will probably find me sewing, shopping gift shops and bookstores, rollerskating, reading, and even baking and cooking (I’m fascinated with the whole farm-to-table movement).
My dream project is a children’s book with a bunny who bakes and saves the day, a suite of products for Crate&Kids and The Ike and Pippa Show, and a calendar for Anthropologie. :)
I live in Northeastern Ohio with my husband Mel, my Mom Anna (who is also an artist) and my 2 superhero kitties, Harry and Charlie-girl.
